About book La Rendición De Daniel Mackenzie (2014)
I really liked parts of this book, but am not too sure about other parts. I loved Daniel, he is a true MacKenzie but different at the same time. He had me melting. He is big, strong, passionate scotsman. Daniel is passionate about Motors, and like his uncles can become absorbed by his passion. He is fun loving but still has a head on his shoulders.I was not fond of the near death experiences and revival parts, they were a bit far fetched.Violet was ok, but didn't seem older than Daniel(I can't say I ever really caught her age). I felt at times the book lagged. All that said I enjoyed it, and am thinking Daniel may be my favourite MacKenzie! I am looking forward to seeing how the series continues. I really loved this story of the now-grown-up Daniel at 25 years old, and Violet the fraud. The remark above may seem negative but it's the truth. The only difference is our heroine doesn't do it with malice, but for survival. At a young age, Violet has taken care of herself and those around her (mother and help) and is not used to being doted upon. Though it wasn't obvious at first, Violet is a smart woman. I didn't even care that she's older than Daniel. When he discovered her wind machine, it was a perfect setup for a solid love story, since Daniel mentioned something about marrying someone like him who is into engines. I enjoyed reading about Daniel and the author wrote his character as lovable. It's really easy to like him. He's real and not a pompous aristocrat. He could do manual labor and even cook. Most importantly, he's devoted to Violet and he showed it. On to the sexy scenes... I loved the author's creativity! Daniel and Violet enjoyed some sensual delights. My favorite part involved strawberries and chocolate. I also loved their adventures. They dated in a sense, and did some "couple" things together. They really clicked and had fun with each other. I'm not sure if there are more books to come cause I can't get enough MacKenzies.
