Ugh, Arobynn is a dirty liar but it was predictable. I am just suspicious of sneaky characters in general but as a manipulative evil assassin king...you my good sir, have excellent character development. Now here is a villian who knows how to bait and hook to keep his victims trusting him. As a writer, I applaud Maas because he is pretty awesome. Crazy but awesome as a villian. Hopefully, we will see more of him in the books. Poor Celaena for actually letting Sam go by himself to kill a maniac. Um, yeah. Noooo. Let's plan this out and see if we can help each other. At least let her keep watch. I knew the way this was going to end. Let's try not to keep Celaena in the dark for too long about the actual guy who hired Farran to kill Sam. It was solid 3 stars and loved how it ended where she was going to Endovier. It was just a bit predictable and cliche for my taste to really like it. That was a heart-wrenchingly sad story. So cruel and oh, so brilliantly written. Good authors know how to twist your heart, yet still love the adventure that's happening. So before I start bawling my eyes out from that horrendous betrayal, I'm going to write these reviews so I can curl up and cry with some chocolate. Oh, Arobynn. What you did in the last novella was bad, but in this? Just sickeningly cruel. And I don't think I'll be getting over Sam anytime soon. I mean, I knew that he died, but actually reading it? And how he only wanted Celaena safe? Oh, that was just cruel.
Do You like book La Asesina En El Imperio (2012)?
Such a heartbreaking ending. I knew what was coming , but that didn't make it less tragic.

So, so great. I know now why Celaena is how she is... and I love her more for it.
