A Seaside Knitters Mystery. Although it is a murder mystery it is not gruesome. It’s actually a rather pleasant read about a charming New England town. The residents of Sea Harbor are a good group of people (especially the local knitters group.) Sea Harbor and adjacent Canary Cove art colony seem like a place I’d really like to visit. They willingly take in a young artist who turns out to be the long lost (and basically unknown) daughter of one of the residents of the town. Did she kill her father out of revenge for leaving her –or if not her, who did? The ladies help solve the crime. A good book for when you want an escape and not a challenge. This book was a fun and quick read, another in the "Seaside Knitters" series of mysteries. I figured out part of, but not all, of the mystery a little more than halfway through, which was pretty good. One thing that kinda bugs me about this author's books, though: I'm not really sure why, but I find myself "skimming" these more than others, and not reading every word and detail. Oh, well, an entertaining, and light, read anyway.
