*3.5 Stars*I'd like to start by addressing the multiple reviewers who dismissed this GN as "hipster. " There is nothing "hipster" specific about being young and confused about your future. Being a college student or someone who ia of college age and working a crummy job while trying to figure out how to make a living doing something you love used to be a simple fact of life. Now, too many people who are too keen on labels call it being a "hipster." Also, to those people who rely so heavily on such labels, how are you somehow superior to anyone? All of that aside, Wang writes a brief, sporadic look into the lives of two very different people trying to figure out what will make them happy and what kind of person each wants to be. There is little so honest as the search for oneself. My only complaint with this book is that I would love to know more about those main characters- how they came to be where they are when they meet. Have you ever thought you had it all wrong and followed the path you thought was the one you should follow only because it was expected of you? Have you ever thought you were not doing enough in life? Have you ever just gone along with what you felt was right even if you didn’t feel good about it?If you said yes to any of those questions, then you will relate to this charming graphic novel. Great illustrations and relatable, this graphic novel is a nice quick read.
Do You like book Koko Be Good (2010)?
Nothing ground breaking here. It was alright, but forgettable.
