I read this a while ago and I've just found it. This book was amazing when I first read it.Imagine moving from your home to Australia, the other side of the world. And when you move you meet a stranger who you fall in live with. But the stranger, who now isn't a stranger, leaves you to get married. You are always left with those what if questions and spend the rest of your life wishing for the one that got away. Well that is exactly what happened to Lily. She moved to Australia as a teenager and fell in love with her work colleague, called Ben, who then leaves her to go to England and get married. Lily spends the story retelling the tale of her young love and then switches to the present where her new found love is proposing to her. But she cannot help but wonder what happened to Ben, the one that got away. This book is a great novel, for a summer romance or just a quick read. Ok, so this was a free download , so felt obliged to read it.It was ok, but very very weird in parts.... Like 16 year old Lily trying it on with a 28 year old man, who then questions his actual relationship with his fiancée because he has very wrong feelings towards the 16 year old??Ok here is my issue..... Why oh why must these books portray women/girls in scenarios where they can't live without a man? Why is the ending always about being fulfilled by finding the man of her dreams??Anyway, I digress. It was ok. I wouldn't pay for the book if I had a choice.
