The story is about a knitting group of ladies that find one of their members, meeting a deadly ending, face up in her swimming pool. Gloria had everything all of us "fifty-plus" ladies dream about....handsome, young husband, perfect body and money. Maggie, Dana, Lucy, Suzanne & Phoebe are the members of the knitting group that want to get to the bottom of why their friend ended up in the pool. I think they all are very interesting! Each unique in their own way with their lifestyles. Since I also knit, it was enjoyable to have knitting woven into the story. A nice, fun read for a long week at work. Canadeo is a good writer, but in her second book, as with her first, the lack of characters means the person "whodunit" must come from the small cast. This book is less about knitting and more about the friends and knitting colleagues of Maggie Messina, owner of The Black Sheep, and their quest to find out the circumstances around the death of rich beauty Gloria Sterling, found floating in her own swimming pool.Popcorn...a fine read after a hard week but, indeed, well written.
