Kitty French is a master at weaving eroticism and romance in her books. It's hard to find authors who can handle that balance between character driven romance and the erotic nature of the relationship. The well developed characters along with her hotter than hot smexy scenes make her one of my go to authors. Two of my favorite characters are Sophie and Lucien. I devoured the first two books and eagerly downloaded and read this one desperate for more of Ms. French's delightful words. I have to say, though, that I had some difficulty connecting with Kara. I didn't really like her over the top personality at first. She just felt off to me. Now Dylan - I really liked his character and particularly liked his interactions with Lucien. We got to see Lucien's personality expand as he develops a friendship with Dylan. For me, the book comes alive when I read about Sophie and Lucien or Lucien and Dylan. While I would have liked to have given the book 5 stars, Kara was so off putting that I had to score it a 4. Book 3. Kara (Sophie's best friend) and Dylan (manager of new club who is running from his past). Loved the two main characters. Their chemistry was good. But, this story drags for the first half of the book. While I adore Sophie and Lucien, their reappearance was a bit of a distraction. The second half of the book wraps up nicely, although the entire book would have been better had suspense and reveal parts of the plot been delved into more and spread more evenly throughout the story. Basically, this is a bonus story, not a necessary read, and is yet another that would have served its purpose well as a novella.C+, re-read 2/5

Christian who? I loved this series that, to me, gives 50 Shades a run for it's money.
