This is a nice start to an amazing series! Thoran Alexander MacKettryck our first Assassin in the series. He is completely old world and just makes me want to swoon. So he's a vampire assassin we all have our faults right? Jolie meets him and he changes her life forever! I love paranormal romance and love historical romance. Even though this takes place in present day I still get the two genres I love the most!! I can't wait to read the next one. I can tell already I am going to be totally obsessed with this series. I know it's short, but I absolutely love this series and this book is no exception. I love the way the author portrayed Thoran, especially his lack of knowledge of modern language, pure brilliance. What I also like about these books, is at each one can be read as a stand alone, no having to wait months on end from the author to find out what's happening, each wonderful story is complete and fulfilling. Highly recommended!
