About book Kiss Of The Night - Kecupan Malam (2011)
Dark-Hunter Wulf has an aggravating power. People can never remember him five minutes after they leave his presence, unless they are born from his. Upon meeting Cassandra, Wulf realises that he wants more from life than a series of one-night stands. He wants happiness and for someone to at least remember a conversation with him. Wulf is shocked when Cassandra remembers him, and then horrified when he realises that she is forbidden. Cassandra is the last Princess of the cursed race that Wulf is sworn to hunt.Cassandra has been hunted all her life. With only a couple of months left until she's twenty seven her life is on a countdown. Upon meeting Wulf, she wishes for more time to live, and love. But with danger coming from every direction, she's surprised when it's Wulf who stands by to help protect her, and every moment with him makes the knowledge of her forthcoming death that much harder, and her more determined to try and find away to live. omg I can't even...with is up with this book?! most of the 70 pages I read I was completely confused. her scene and pov changes are so aprupt I rarely knew what was going on. for instance the prologue which adds to the mythology (and seriously how much more can there be you could fill up two books with just all the myth she keeps adding that I can't keep track of) goes straight into coeds rating men in a bar...and it takes a good long while before you even know which will be the heroine. I hate the departure from really all long series formulas where each book builds off the previous one. wulf is practically a brand new character all we know about him before this one is he's viking and talons friend. if that weren't bad enough this book starts about where talons does so the scene with talon is so confusing because in my mind talon isn't a hunter anymore and why in the world is he checking out women. then I realize the phone convo is copied and pasted pretty much from talons book. never mind the fact that dudes do NOT chat on the phone lol. the descriptions are either wayyyy too much or barely there at all. but seriously...wulf is VERY manly...no really she needed to get that across so she used every synonym possible in a span of like 15 pages. so wulfs "power" is that people forget him...that sucks but its pretty boring. and how does he miss that cassandra (and seriously an apollite named cassandra?) isn't all human aren't they supposed to know these things? and why do they call her heiress she isn't set to inherit money or anything and that's the only way ive ever seen that word used. cass could've probably been an interesting character if you're into the whole tragic figure thing but I just couldn't stick through the book to find out. when she starts massaging his penis with her feet I was done.I don't know what's going on with this series. I know sk can be a great author because I read several of hers that were wonderfully written. as it is I'm over this series because even the fantasticness of zareks book isn't enough to keep me going. I'll probably check out acherons to appease my curiosity but I don't think I'll read the rest
