I enjoyed the latest installment more than the last few. I felt that the story line from the previous books were getting pretty stagnant. "Kiss and Spell" finally made progress in Katie's and Owen's relationship. With the last few books, I was beginning to wonder why the two of them were together and if Swendson was ever going to make that clear. Her writing style hasn't changed, nor has her proclivity to give Katie powers and then take them away changed. She does flip flops whenever it suits her needs I guess. That being said, these are light books merely meant to entertain. This 7th and currently last book in the Katie and Owen series went out with the bang I was looking for! I loved this book as much as the first book that got me hooked on the series. While I hate to see a good series end, I do think that Ms. Swendson left while we were laughing instead of dragging things on into a mess like what is so often seen in a series that is longer than three books. Great wrap! However, if there ever is an 8th or a spin off with another character, I will be here waiting!!
Nice wrap-up. Please, Swendson, don't ruin the ending and move on to writing a new series.
