I didn't realize until I'd finished the book that this is the same author who wrote 'Take the Monkeys and Run'. Sophie is desperate for work after quitting her last job when she quit her boyfriend. She lands the job as a receptionist for an optometrist quickly, and it doesn't take long to find that the job comes with its own ghost. That's ok, she has one of her own.A fast read, light and very fun. I look forward to more in the series! Sophie Rhodes is a struggling almost 30-year old with a spotty work record, spottier track record with men and a "veddy proper" British ghost companion who gives her lots of unwanted advice. She's desperate to pay her bills, so takes a job as a receptionist with the hot Dr. Callahan, who has spirit problems of his own. This is more of a romance dressed in mystery clothing than an actual mystery - but, d'oh, I should have know that by the "ghostly romance" tag on the cover. Interesting premise, though(people who are velcroed to spirits, some related, some random), and moderately entertaining characters. This was a light, well-written read. I wouldn't go out of my way to read subsequent books in this series, assuming there are more, but I would read them if I came across them. Good treadmill book.
Do You like book Keep Me Ghosted (2013)?
This was a fun read. A quirky love story with an obnoxious ghost. Looking forward to the next.
