About book Kdopak Je Ta Zrzka? (2013)

I'm not 100% sold on this book. I wonder if it's because I'm listening to the Audio book rather than reading it. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm kinda getting sick of the endless sex - and when I'm listening to the narrator, I'm like 'OMG let's move on already'. The other things that annoy me are the multiple-multiple orgasms, each one better than the last. And I must admit the witty banter does get on my nerves - it's almost as if the author is trying TOO hard - then again, perhaps because it's all read to me in the one female voice. I may yet buy this on ebook yet to see if I have a different take on it and where I can jump through the endless sex, I love you's and descriptive on how they lay in bed. Meanwhile I will download the next Audio because I desperately need something to take my mind off the fact that I'm on the treadmill ;) I couldn't finish this book, so I guess I'll start with the Cons first before getting to the Pros of this book.Cons:- Jack Hamilton is too perfect and vanilla. He is boring. Grace is much more witty than him and the author constantly emphasizes his dark hair, blue eyes, and a British accent. Yawn. How very generic for a romance novel. He didn't have much of a personality and was immediately smitten with Grace upon first sight, which is strange because he's at the top of his game right now and she's... just weird.- I didn't like Grace. She might be older than him by a number of years, but her way of speaking is still immature. I guess that helps her connect with Jack, but a lot of the time, it sounds like she's from a sorority and always having snappy, "witty", comebacks. The dialogue tries sooo hard to be sharp but it just doesn't feel natural. I get that you don't have to be serious and boring when you're in your 30's, but I don't need to read about an older woman struggling with skinny jeans, glitter on her chest (boobies), and being hung over all the time. Hell, she and her best friend call each other "Bitch" affectionately and gossip like teenagers. What is the point of writing a story about an older woman hooking up with a younger guy if the author is going to write the woman as though she was a lot younger?- This book is too peppy. Too much fluff without any depth. While reading this book, I felt like I was watching a tennis game with how the characters constantly had comebacks with each other non-stop. Okay, I get it. Grace is sooooo witty. I look books that are able to give characters depth and are not one personality all the damn time. Some sort of normal conversation without sarcasm or snappy come backs would have been really appreciated. I got tired of Grace's bright and witty personality very fast. Tired of reading about her going for a run or doing yoga.- Which, by the way is another annoying thing. Grace used to be fat, but she decided to get her butt back into shape to give Hollywood another try. All of a sudden she's got a banging, drool-worthy body with REAL boobs. Not fake ones like all the other women in the industry. She's got a great job as a consultant so she can work from home or wherever she wants while she tries to make it big in the movie industry. Everything is just so perfect for her except she never got to achieve her dreams. She is boring. Everything about her was boring to me. Adding her with generic Jack made this book a major snooze fest.Pros: Sooo it's hard to say what I liked about this book because I couldn't finish it. I opened it so many times and would have to stop after every other chapter. I'm really interested in older woman-younger man pairings, but she is too immature for my liking and the story is a flat line.
