Kamienie na Szaniec is a historical non-fiction book by Aleksander Kamiński. Kamienie na Szaniec is a book that tells about the adventures of three friends living in occupied Warsaw and Poland. I really enjoyed the book and I think it shows very well what life under the occupation in Poland, during World War II. The author transitions well between all three of the main characters. He also shows what all of the characters feel and what they think about the current situation. It is a book worth reading for most people. Kamienie na Szaniec is a book for people of all ages starting from 12 year old up to 100 years old. Great story of brave young men who were fighting during World War II in Poland. When the action of a book starts they all were like 19 years old - just after graduation from secondary school and getting a diploma. There's no happy ending. Three main characters - Zośka, Rudy and Alek - die [Alek from a gunshot wound in abdomen got in Operation Arsenal, Rudy from wounds he got while he was tortured by Gestapo (both died on the same day - March 30, 1943) and Zośka was shoot in different action on August 20, 1943:]. Moving, gripping and thrilling.

Krótko i na temat: po przeczytaniu wstydzisz się, że nie mógłbyś być takim bohaterem.
