I didn't quite like the first book, but I decided to get the sequel because in meantime I've been in a situation similar to the one in the book(and it was on sale). I have to say that I did't like this one either. Moreover, I liked it even less. So why did I rate it 3 stars? Like I said, I've been through all that. I understand Emmi and Leo.What I didn't like are... Well, Emmi and Leo. Despite them being "lovers" they keep everything so formal, so tense, so unnatural. There is nothing that would show they mean that much to each other. And I know, I know. That's kinda the whole point. But no. There were other, better ways to do that. This was very plastic and very.. Dead. Plus, all the time they're writing like they're novelists. Even when they are completely wasted! Their writing is impeccable! No! That's not what makes it real. Mistakes and imperfections are. Not some big drunken (perfect) definitions of love and what not. All the time I felt like two philosophy professors are chatting (no offence to philosophy professors).There was also a part when Leo sends her an e mail that her husband sent to him when he found out about them, (whoa!) where Berndhard says he's not good at writing and then he types a whole 3-4 pages long e mail with perfect grammar, perfect punctuation, and again big big BIG words and definitions. For that reason I felt like the author had problem getting inside of their heads. He was writing like he would write any other novel. And that's the problem many 1st person stories have. Because that's not who people are. And that's why this book doesn't seem real. That's why I cannot trust Emmi or Leo or Bernhard. Three most fake characters I've ever met.I should also add that the book was pretty dull. There's nothing happening but there's something happening all the time and that's what made me nervous and angry. They fight over nothing for half the book and the only reason they do that is over analyzing every. single. word. And on top of that, it gets so cheesy from time to time. Everything is weird about this book and I have so many feelings about it (mostly bad) but I gave it ALL THOSE stars because 1 some parts reminded me of my situation, 2 the idea was OK, it's just the execution that was bad, 3 I don't read many romantic novels so I'm not sure I'm able to rate this book properly. But this is my opinion. This is how I felt while I was reading it. Despite it being a REALLY fast read, it's not one of the books that I will reread. FÜR RÜCKFRAGEN STEHT DER SYSTEMMANAGER GERNE ZUR VERFÜGUNG."Nach "Gut gegen Nordwind" war ich natürlich sehr gespannt wie es mit Emmi und Leo weitergeht, und war doch froh, dass es überhaupt weitergeht :)Cover/ Gestaltung: 4/5 Pkt.Das Cover gefällt mir viel besser, als das vom ersten Teil. Auch die Titelauswahl finde ich wieder sehr gelungen.Schreibstil: 4/5 Pkt.Den Schreibstil fand ich genauso ansprechend wie im ersten Teil. Vor allem die Mails von Leo Leike fand ich wieder sehr schön. Diese Form, dass wir eben nur die Maisl der beiden zu lesen bekommen, findet sich auch im zweiten Teil wieder...als es zu Treffen zwischen den beiden kommt, finde ich es sehr schade, dass man darüber eben nur das erfährt, was die beiden per e-mail austauschen.Geschichte/Inhalt: 2/5 Pkt.Fast schon verzweifelt versucht Emmi Leo per Mail zu erreichen, doch sie bekommt nur die nervige Antwort des Systemmanagers, also begnügt sie sich mit seinen Worten - bis Leo aus Boston zurückkehrt und sein Mail-Konto wieder benutzt. Eine zaghafte erneute Annäherungsphase beginnt....eine Freundschaft, da sie nun beide ein neues oder ein anderes Leben aufgebaut haben. Doch wo soll das hinführen? Kann man alle da gewesenen Gefühle einfach so vergessen? Lest selbst :)Insgesamt fand ich es doch ganz schön, dass die Geschichte von Emmi und Leo zu Ende gebracht wurde, allerdings finde ich, dass diese Fortsetzung nicht unbedingt hätte sein müssen, auch wenn sie lesenswert war, so hatte ich das Gefühl, dass diese Geschichte sie nicht unbedingt brauchte, ich kann mit beiden Enden gut leben....auch wenn das komisch ist....aber mehr kann ich dazu nicht verraten, ohne zu spoilern. Der zweite Teil hat mich halt etwas gelangweilt.Spannung: 2/5 Pkt.Das einzige was mich dazu bewegt, dieses Buch zu lesen, und zu Ende zu lesen, war, dass ich wissen wollte wie es mit Emmi und Leo ausgeht. Das war sozusagen spannend - der Rest der Geschichte eher mäßig..Charaktere: 2,5/5 Pkt.Leo mag ich total gern, mit ihm würde ich mich ja auch gern per Mail unterhalten :D Aber Emmi ging mir immernoch auf Nerven....ich finde sie einfach nicht sympathisch - sondern egoistisch, fast schon neurotisch und halt einfach nervig.!Emotionen/ Atmosphäre: 3/5 Pkt.Die Atmosphäre des Buch würde ich mit den folgenden Worten beschreiben: wartend, verzweifelt, leugnend, prickelnd....Fazit: 2,5 SterneEine lesenswerte Fortsetzung, die es in meinen Augen aber nicht unbedingt gebraucht hatte. Mit dem Ende des ersten Teils konnte ich eigentlich ganz gut leben. Wer mit diesem Ende aber nicht leben kann, sollte den zweiten Teil lesen :)* Daniel Glattauer: Alle sieben Wellen.
