This was a fun book and I enjoyed it. Something about it bothered me and I couldn't quite put my finger on what it was. It may have been feeling that the perspective of the main character was out of place in the setting. but I'm not quite sure. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had been able to pinpoint what was bugging me about it. It was a cute little princess story though and I really did like most of it (other than the nameless something that I didn't like). One of my new favorite books for sure. I was pleasantly surprised. This was not a fairy tale retelling as I thought it would be. The writing reminded me a lot of a Gale Carson Levine or Shannon Hale books only in some aspects better with a lot more feeling and emotion. I'm so excited to read her next book Missing Lily which is About Ariella's youngest sister and I look forward to many more stories that will be written by Annette Larsen.
I was pleasantly surprised with this book, you just never know with the free amazon prime books.
