I enjoyed this book while reading it, but Suzie was sort of irritating and I would have punched Jackie in the face if I met her in real life. The book didn't resolve itself very well, as the whole time Suzie was man-hater and plain bigoted, and then, suddenly, one lousy disco changes her into a hopeless romantic. The grammar was appalling and the lack of commas made me lose faith in humanity. The final thing I didn't like about this book is how these characters always seem to kill their own happiness for no reason whatsoever. The writer creates conflict for the sake of conflict. That is beyond annoying. There were some mildly amusing scenes, and it was fairly addictive during reading, so I guess it deserves 3 starsGood for wasting time, but unfortunately not much else. I had originally given this book four stars, because I did enjoy it, but then after a couple of days I realised I didn't like it quite as much as No One Ever Has Sex on a Tuesday so down marked it! The reason I didn't like it quite as much as her first book is that it was that the ending was somewhat predictable and a little cliched. The book is sharp and funny, Blooms lead characters tend to be strong and independent (eventually) and not looking for a man to rescue them, which makes a nice change in chick lit.
