I really loved Roxanne St. Claire's previous series so I went into this one with some trepidation. However, it is even stronger and "Face of Danger," the third in the series is the best so far. Throughout the other two books of the Guardian Angelinos series we learn pieces of Vivi's past and how it has made her strong. But here is the first time we get an in depth look at the real Vivi Angelino. And let's face it, Colton is to die for. ok, so this series may be a spin off of the Bullet Catchers, but so far it's nowhere near as compelling. I really enjoyed the first one, Edge of Sight, but I'm afraid the magic was just missing in this installment, Face of Danger. I just couldn't muster up any empathy for either Vivi or Lang, our h/h. The plot was ok, which is why I gave it three stars, but the two main characters just fell flat for me. The sexual chemistry seemed forced, as if the two of them were being dragged along into a relationship that didn't fit either one of them. I was glad when I got to the end and could say I was finished with the story. I won't be keeping this book, but I will probably read the other books since I want to read Gabe's story for sure.

The best of the series. Loved Vivi and Lang's banter.

This book was better as a mystery than a romance.
