Confusing but addictive.I've just read and for the most part enjoyed this book but I'm not sure exactly what I've read or what's going on making this a difficult review to write.Jake's a complicated guy and I both liked and disliked him almost at the same time, difficult I know but true especially after our introduction to him it's hard to imagine liking him at all after that, Luna/Anna/Jenna or whatever she's calling herself is the same, at times I liked her then at others not so much. I don't think I've ever read a book before where I can't make up my mind about both the main characters by the end.As we're told in the synopsis this is book 1 of 2 so we have to wait to work out what's going on because this book is confusing, deliberately so, the way it's told annoyed me at times, all the unanswered or avoided questions.Although it may not sound like it I enjoyed this book, it annoyed and frustrated me but I enjoyed it and I can't wait for the next book. The only way to describe this book is like when you go down to the sea after ages & because the air is so hot you foolishly dive into that first on coming wave because you want to cool down immediately & once you crash into that wall of water you lose your balance & spin in blueness & salt water goes into your mouth, your nostrils, your eyes are burning. One problem is solved after that because you nice & cool now but other than that you left with a spinning head, vertigo & a sense of confusion. That's how this book made me feel.So to end that narrative be careful what you dive into.
Do You like book Jaked (2000)?
this is not a standalone which is why I am not giving a 4 star.
