About book It's The End Of The World As We Know It (2011)
Didn't realize I had, in fact, read one of JP Barnaby's books before, if only a short short like this one. The funny thing is that this story has stuck with me ever since I read it several months ago. I go back often to the images it created in my head whenever I think about the end of the world. As a regular romance, I'd be squicked by the age difference, but on the last day of the planet, hell YEAH! Go for it. Where do I even start with this one? It is so perfect, including the ending - and I can't believe I said that. A happy ending, normally, is a must for me to give a story 5 stars, and I have to admit, I did cling to the hope for a major miracle to happen until the very end. And yet - when that final sentence sank in, I knew, as cruel as it is, it was just as it needed to be.Bravo, J.P., for writing a brilliant gem of a story!

I liked this story, but felt sorry for his family when he didn't return to them.
