I am a Total Fangirl for Mj fields...... And as usual she has done it again! Irons was a great read, with great characters, that hook you and keep you wanting more and more and more.Jax Irons Is a Pilot for the navy, A true Alpha male, and downright HOT!!!!! Jax’s family is one of power and money. While away on a mission Jax’s Best friend will is Killed. Emotional Jax is suffering silently over this lose. Wills Family is devastated and now not only did they lose Will but Jax is picking up and moving away also. Wills sister Frankie is lost. She has lost her Best friend and older brother and now is going to lose Jax the Love of her life. Frankie confesses her love for Jax not wanting im to leave without knowing how she feels. Jax hightails it out of there and away from her and his past fast.Three years later Jax and Frankie are reunited. Now Frankie is a woman and Jax knows it. As much as he wants to run he finds himself drawn to her and cant stay away. Life keeps getting in the way for these two. Running from the past and trying to hide from the future these two hit some bumps in the road. Skeletons in their closet begin to unravel and show up on their doorsteps. Will these two overcome them, can they survive the past and what lies ahead of them? This is going to be a knockout series just like all her others. I am now anxiously awaiting book 2........ I thought that I loved Jase, Xavier, Cyrus and the gang from her Steele brothers series but Jax blew me away. He is tough on the outside but a teddy bear on the inside. Very protective of loved ones and very broken by the loss of his best friends death. The ending although a little of a cliffy leaving us with many questions and truly truly despising Jax's family isn't a cliffy in the terms of will they or won't they be together more what else do these two have to go through, who is behind all this and why?Jax is a tough cookie. A navy pilot whose home life is less than warm and fuzzy. No mistaking them for a cozy happy let's all get together and talk about our days family more like son this is what you are required to be and do now follow or you are a disappointment. Thus the reason he found such comfort with his best friend's family. That is until he died. Than he felt as if he didn't belong. Which was his grief processing but still had to hurt. Jax is sent to a new airbase and life. One in which he drowns out this family and in particular Frankie with woman. When he comes home, things change and Frankie is the only woman he can think about. Even goes from all woman to only one. Funny most of the time it is the man who is the lying cheating scuzzball but here he is honest trustworthy and faithful. Such a breath of fresh air to see.Frankie though is another story. She lashes out when things aren't how she wants them and to drown out the darkness since her brother's death. Afraid to let Jax really see who she is, she does some truly aggravating things at first. Jax is able to change that and help her begin to heal but it is a process.these two are great together. The protector and supporter who gets strength and courage from the one who tries to be tough but is fighting her own demons. the side characters are a hoot too. And so supportive of their friends. A story of love and faith and trying to navigate together in a politically charged storm that wants you apart but brings you closer. A nice book to sit down and curl up to read in one sitting.
