Beautiful story. I really enjoyed reading the story. I felt connected with Inky. She truly went through some hard times as a child. Some of things she had to endure were horrific. To grow up with a mother that spent her time torching Inky was just disturbing. I was so hoping Evan was not going to be the main male character in the story. He was a creep! I wanted to kick him in the face the first time we are introduced to him. It was obvious that he really didn’t have a strong connection with Inky. But as the story went enjoy I liked the friendship between Aimes and Inky. Aimes was a true friend the stuck by Inky side. Lisa was a tramp and backstabber. Cole was mysteries to me in the beginning. But I liked that he wasn’t your perfect alpha male. That he too had demons he was trying to deal with. I think that alone for me encouraged me to like the story even more. I hate when stories give the reader the impression that the male lead character are flawless and perfect. It just doesn’t come off as real to me. But Cole had his flaws and yet he still was perfect for Inky. Great story and I can’t wait to read Cole! 4 stars only because I couldn't believe the author waited until over 1/3, almost half, of the book before having the heroine find out her fiance' was sleeping with her best friend/roommate. This made the story drag at the beginning for me. besides the fact that I as a reader knew when she said her roommate was being mysterious about who she was sleeping with at the beginning of the book. I liked the story between Inky and Cole and would have given it 5 stars if not for the long, drawn out cheating, but you don't know for sure until the last minute, scumbag fiance'!
