5 beautiful stars. Omg. I loved this book. It was amazing. Natalie and Ryker had the best love story. It was emotional and heartbreaking and OMG I'm a sucker 4 a tear jerker. Wow. Please read this book. Oliver and Max were adorable and I'm glad they had one another. But Ollie overcame a lot to only b 5 and Natalie was a great mom. She went through sooo much with Ryker going to the army and and dealing with PTSD and death. Wow. Nat's best friend was awesome as well. Love this book. Love. I refuse to empathize with a character who:1. Gives into the wishes of her husband just to make him happy2. Put their life on hold for a romantic interest3. Hits their significant other and think it's okay because the one getting hurt was a man. NEWSFLASH domestic abuse is still domestic abuse no matter what gender is getting hurt/doing the hurting4. Wastes her parents' money on education to pursue her romantic interest5. Disrespects their parent when they tell her she's focusing too much on her boyfriend and throws a tantrum like a three year old6. Thinks ditching class is fine because romance is more important that education and a secure future7. Blames others for her decisions8. Has no backboneNatalie is a horrible character. She got my sympathy but not my empathy. I couldn't connect with someone as shallow as her. Even after she stops cutting, gets her happy ending blah, blah, blah, she is still a pathetically weak character with horrid morals. Just because her pain was understandable, it didn't not make her behavior excusable
