About book In The Middle Of Nowhere (2012)

I really enjoyed reading this book! This book introduces you to Willow, who is a sophomore at her high school, and she moves to Maine on an island and begins school afresh, as the new kid. She meets a boy, Michael, who she is so fascinated by because he is never at school, and comes and goes without many people noticing. She gets into normal situations, as many high school kids do, and gains and loses friends in the process. How will her life change if she lets all of these new people and friends into her life? This book was very well written, and I really enjoyed it. I am actually from Maine, and although I don't live on the coast of Maine, I really connected with Willow and her struggle, as I was a new kid many times throughout my childhood and young adult life. If you get a chance to read this book, you should! It is fantastic, and I am ready to read the second one! And you should too. Happy Reading!! Willow Ann Flynn is your typical teenager. She has no clue to some things in life but still welcomes it even though at the end, there's consequences. The story goes as she faces a new life as they move in to a small island, peer pressure in her new school, loss of a father, loss of old friends, a new man in her mother's life and a boy who may or may not stick around. The story was written in Willow's point-of-view so we got alot of her and her feelings. I like how Willow get open minded for Tess even though she hears lots of negatives about her. I also like how Michael Cooper was introduced in the beginning and somehow gives you a hint that there's something special between Willow and him but then he scarcely shows up along the way. Because of that, I got so curious as to what will happen to them and how will they end up together. I also like how it gives you insight of different problems that a teenage girl might encounter in high school and what will be the consequences. I was just a little disappointed on the development of Willow and Michael. They deserve a little more pages. All in all, this book gives you an insight of the possibilities in a teenage life and how to love life even if sometimes it sucks because there will always be something great to hold on to.

Do You like book In The Middle Of Nowhere (2012)?

Heartfelt in intent . . . but really distant. The narrator didn't speak as a teen would.
