About book I'm Feeling Lucky: The Confessions Of Google Employee Number 59 (2011)
An insider's look into Google from 1999 to 2005. Edwards paints a picture of a haphazard hard-working team sustained by an unshakable faith in its technical superiority. At the end of the day, the wild success of a geeky tool is a victory of cross functional teamwork, user experience-driven technology, and the successful humanization of a brand. An inspiring story even if I know how it ends. I thought this was an interesting look into Google as a start up company. I'm not sure I could have handled working there. It follows the author, who was the Brand Manager for Google from the beginning. It ends with him leaving the company after they went public. The book has lots of quotes and stories from other people that worked there. I was a bit surprised at how much information it gave. You really got a since of the politics of the place. I also got a since of how much the founders were dedicated to creating a company that is different than all the others.I am amazed at how much I now hear about Google in the news. I never paid that much attention before.

If you can get past the computer jargon the runs throughout the book it's an interesting read.
