Still making me smile seven books later! Yes, Numeroff is still using the same pattern as her other If You Give A...series books, but this is a series, so it makes sense. Young children love predictability and I know they enjoy seeing what each different animal will do in each book. The illustrations are adorable. The dog kept making me smile even while he made accidental mischief. I don't think I could ever get tired of this series. They are just that cute!Would I recommend this book? YES. Numeroff, J. "If you give a dog a donut". (2011). New York: Scholastic.Another winner by Numeroff. This series is very popular among young children. They like that they can always predict the ending. The boy gives his dog a donut and the dog wants some apple juice to go with it. They embark on an outdoor journey, playing baseball, flying kites, and picking apples...which you may have guessed, reminds the dog of apple juice. And, of course, he wants a donut to go with it.
Do You like book If You Give A Dog A Donut (2011)?
This was in Danny's first Scholastic book order from kindergarten, but both boys love it.

Another fun "if you give" book. This one uses a dog but it's just as fun and cute!
