I have to agree with another reviewer on here--it sucks to be Joey Ramone's brother. That said, this book was an entertaining read, although it was often heartbreaking. There were definitely a few moments where I got a little tired of the woe-is-me attitude, but I understand the sentiment if you continually were shafted the way Mickey Leigh was. I really appreciated the shifting of referring to Jeff Hyman to Joey Ramone and back as a rhetorical and narratological tool. I enjoyed reading the book for the most part, though I did get tired of Leigh's "But I was on this song too! Acknowledge me, World!" I realize that it is pretty much impossible to be objective about someone you are that close to, but Leigh still has a lot of bitterness all rolled up in there with the love. And ironically, after reading about Joey's reaction to various articles, etc., written about him and about the Ramones, I suspect that Joey Ramone would have hated this bio with a fiery passion.
