About book I Don't Know What You Know Me From: Confessions Of A Co-Star (2014)

This is a 2.7-ish rating.I have enjoyed Judy Greer since I saw her in "Jawbreaker." I have inadvertenly followed her career ever since. I was excited about her autobiography but hesitant. I have been burned plenty with autobiographies which was I waited. I'm kind of glad I did. The disappointment didn't sting as much.Judy Greer's I Don't Know What You Know Me From: Confessions of a Co-Star wasn't a bad book. It just wasn't terribly exciting or really all that interesting. Don't get me wrong, Greer seems like a nice woman and if I met her we might be friends but it was superficial. I'm getting tired of the celebrity trend of filling their autobiographies with, well, filler. Fluff. In Greer's case, it was random lists, texts, and letters. Those were the most disinteresting group of "essays" in the bunch. They lacked the most depth and had a bit of the "TMI" syndrome going on. I wanted more stories like Greer's unconventional living situation with her husband, how she rather stay at home with her family than travel for work, or how she dissected the shallowness of 24 years of journal entries.I enjoyed those essays. They showed depth. I related to her more. She became hella intriguing! But I will give Greer credit, her autobiography was one of the more cohesive and sequential ones. She started at her beginning and ended with her now. Probably closer to 3.5 stars instead of 4, but I really enjoyed listening to the audio version of this book. Yes, the stories are somewhat fluffy, and Greer dishes no dirt as nary a negative word is said about anyone--not even a costar or ex-boyfriend! But I actually liked that Greer's stories were fairly down to earth. For someone that works in Hollywood she has a very normal vibe about her, and this approachability makes her book extremely relatable.

Listened to audio book while multitasking. Made me laugh several times. Not a waste of time.

Fun and pretty enjoyable, though I wanted Kitty Sanchez to be just a little funnier.
