The author did an awesome job telling Rhane’s story. In life some people come from money and others envy them because they believe money can bring happiness. In Rhanes case she gave up all of that to be with the man she loved and to be in a band and hopefully make it big one day. Just when Rhane thought everything couldn’t get any better, everything turns upside down for her. She loses the love of her life and she loses her voice that allowed her to follow her dreams to make it big in the music industry. Sometimes in life when your dream dies so quickly you feel like you will never be happy or be able to be fixed again. In life that is not the case at all. Lori showed us as readers that what we think should be our happy ending isn’t always what is meant for us in the end. Everything happens for a reason, even the bad things. I grew attached to Rhane and needed to know what was going to happen with her in the future. I was cheering her on through the book hoping she was going to get her happy ending. I give this book 4 stars!-Harper It seems like a serious problem of mine – I never know how to start a review…Okay, so here it goes…I wanted to read this book from the moment I first read its synopsis, this is why I participated in a cover reveal a few weeks back. I am really glad that i finally got the chance to read it because I loved, I just knew that I would and I am happy that I was right.This book is well written, very easy to read which is great. I hate books that are written by people who seem like they were stressed while writing, they make their books very hard to read, it is like the language used is unnatural. Thankfully, this is not one of those books.The plot is complex and very interesting. I never read a book with a similar plot which is really great. I love discovering new situations and observing characters dealing with said situations.Right in the beginning I was a little bit worried by the number of characters that were not properly introduced. I was afraid that I would be unable to remember all of them. I like books with a lot of characters, but I want to get to know them a bit better so that I can understand the story better. In this case I was glad when I saw that the number dropped significantly after the first few chapters.I liked Rhane and I loved her hidden optimism. Yes, I do believe that underneath all her powerful appearance stood a brave, optimistic girl because otherwise she shouldn’t;t have been able to cope with everything she was put through. The colors were a nice touch, a bit of symbolism is a great addition to every book. I feel like authors no longer resort to this particular current and they should. Colors are the classic example for emotions.Rhane and Dalton’s relationship was by no means ideal, it was quite destructive, but I would have liked to learn more about them together. Anyway I am glad that Thane found Ian, but I still felt a bit weird about seeing her with him.Ian is a great man despite everything. I loved the fact that he did the right thing and took care of his daughter. No many his age take responsibility. In the end I am glad that he become pat of Rhane’s life, she needed someone life him.If you haven’t already purchased this book, I suggest you do because it is a very nice read about losing it all and starting over while never truly forgetting who you are and where you come from. Sometimes you do not have to forget the past, you need to embrace it and move on.
