About book Hunger Games: Guida Ufficiale Al Film, I Tributi (2000)
This book really explains a lot of things that were in the movie that you wouldn't have understood if you didn't read the books. I loved it. When I am reading I like to picture what the characters look like and this book showed all of the characters who were in the movie. So when I started reading (before the movie came out) I just looked at the book to get a feel for what the characters look like. For example: 'Oh okay so Katniss Everdeen is a girl and Peeta Melark is Josh Hutcherson with blonde hair.' or 'Haymitch is Woody Harelson and Effie Trinket is Elizabeth Banks'. So yes the book was very helpful that way. The book also included some sneak peeks from the movie. I got so see some of the outfits that they wore and scenes from the movie all before I even read the Hunger Games. Don't buy this one. What really bothers me is that it is written as if we are citizens of Panem, but it doesn't offer any extra insights. For example, accompanying the portraits of the tributes are facts like name, age, weapon, etc., but we are only given that information when it was written in the book. . .so Foxface's name is listed as Foxface even though that wasn't her real name. Why write the book this way? It's just beyond bad.
