These books are cute and fun. There is nothing spectacular about them, but they are clean and have a good enough plot to keep you interested. They are a quick and easy read. I got them free from a free trial of amazon unlimited, I'm not sure I'd pay for them though. One thing that does bug me a little is all the descriptions of food. The main character is a magical baker and they spend a little too much time describing her creations for her bakery. Anyway, fun story. I'd guess younger girls would quite enjoy them. Kinda cute, but I didn't love the characters all too much. And it definitely seemed a little bit like a Harry Potter rip-off at times when it came to the Council. The author tried to make a deeper and more complex plot than just a cutesy romance, but it didn't really work out too well. It seemed a little halfhearted and I ended up pretty much ignoring the magic aspect of the book. Overall, it was okay as a lighthearted bakery romance, but not one of my favorites.
so far, not quite as charming or funny as the Enchanted, Inc. series, but still enjoyable.
