This is not the kind of book I generally read, but I am glad I did. I don't know if it a romance novel since most of the book from the beginning to the end was about a couple that fell in love, but it is not what I have been lead to believe is a standard romance novel where dozens of people spend most of the book in bed. But it is well written and the characterization so good that some of the people became friends of mine before the book was over. Abby moves back to her hometown to recover from a marriage that eroded her self-esteem. She has her second beach rescue and kisses the man trying to save her. It is Abby and Seth's story but also the story of the town and all it's people. One of those stories is about her 2 best friends in high school. Luke was her ex and is now married to Hannah. The triangle is flipped this time around. Seth is younger and fighting his own demons.
