Clare Cosi, the nosy coffee house manager, is at it again. A friend, who is a Santa Claus for charity, is murdered. The story is sufficiently complex, and Clare's complicated family and personal life are again at the center. But this makes for a good story, and the holiday theme is enjoyable, even the creation of several holiday coffee drinks. One thing about these books that I find annoying is the addition of nearly 90 extra pages of recipes and other "stuff". The knitting cozy mysteries do the same. I guess the publishers feel they have to pad the books to justify a cover page of $7.99. Delightful little Christmas mystery featuring beloved barista and amateur sleuth Clare Cosi. Christmas is a time of families and holiday cheer but this holiday is shattered when the local Santa is murdered. What seems like a random robbery is anything but and the very essence of Christmas is revealed and cherished family values challenged as Ms.Cosi valiantly saves the day. The book includes recipes so don't miss those at the back.

Just OK - the plot is interesting, but it is just so unplausable that it's pretty hard to swallow.
