About book Holding Hannah (2013)

This was a short prequel to the series. While short is fine if done well, this was also an edgy tease. We get taken by the hand and lead to a crucial scene between the MCs only to have it skipped over! We get very few details as an afterthought and then the story is over. I like the premise and the edginess of the story so I will continue to read the next in the series and hope that important moments are not skipped over and that we find out what happens to Hannah. I did enjoy this book, though I think it should come with a trigger warning for cutting. I was intrigued by the idea of the castle in the middle of nowhere that could be used for various nefarious purposes to those in the kink community. Hannah's back story was excellent and how she began to discover and understand herself was well done. I think the only issue I had with the book was her start in BDSM. In general, it felt a little too much like a shove into the deep end of the pool. I'm looking forward to more stories revolving around the castle and those that helped in its construction.

This book had great potential however, it was much too short.

Meh. Not a big fan of HFNs that happen in one or 2 days.
