I think I'm finally ready to give up on this series. The new menace is just so unbelievable and over the top. It's just gratutious violence for no reason and it's impossible to imagine people actually living like that. Once again Kirkman seems to have totally missed the point that zombies should be about social commentary. I just couldn't believe in this anymore. As a series it had some interesting moments but it felt like it really lacked direction and just kinda wandered along. I think this is actually the first time around I liked Carl, which considering I've spent the previous 17 volumes wanting to strangle him is saying a lot. I'm actually growing to like Negan to some strange extent, as well, but I suspect that won't last (and remembering things from the previous volume...yeah, I can't like him terribly much). He's incredibly ruthless, but then again so are the main heroes at this point of the series.
I enjoyed the book. It has been interesting seeing the development of Carl throughout the books.

Another great book in the series. While the villan is typical, the story is all gotta read.
