Four and a half stars. I am surprised by the not favorable reviews. I truly enjoyed this book. I liked that she was married and was trying to reconcile what her mother told here about intimacy and what she was truly feeling. It could have been pared down a bit but the story was intriguing. This is definitely not the book to read if you are looking for the 'instant attraction and hopelessly in love with perfect sex' story. There is a bit more meat to this tale. Give it a try. I'm going to go start the next book in this series. I really enjoyed this book, despite the fact that it rests on one of my least favorite tropes: the Hidden Secret. Also known as, "I must tell her but I can't tell her," when done at all, it makes me grind my teeth, and the dentist keeps telling me that's bad for me. When done poorly (that is to say, overdone, with the misunderstanding being the only plot point of the book), it turns a common paperback into a wall thumper. However...while I still hate The Hidden Secret, I actually felt like it was handled well here. It's not the only point of the book (in fact, there may be an overload of secrets), so it gets some reprieve. Besides, this book is smokin' hot.
Do You like book Her Husband's Harlot (2000)?
It was a good story, just too much graphic sex for me.
