This is a book by Faith Hunter with a few short-stories from Jane Yellowrock universe. I’m not going to write a review for each short-story because I don’t think that there is a point doing this, as I’ve said before. I just want to write a few words for this series that I like so much.Darker than a usual urban fantasy book, with a lot of action and very well-written characters, Jane Yellowrock series is about a world that everyone has secrets and wants something from the other. These short stories give us the opportunity to learn some things from the past of the main and secondary characters and some of their secrets. Also, they give us the chance to know better Jane and her Beast (that I really like).Of course, in order to understand these stories you have to read the previous books. And believe me these stories are very good! I love this series! I read a lot of urban fiction, usually with vampires. But in books and movies I really appreciate the strength of a female action hero(ine). This series revolves around a woman unlike any other I have ever read. I really appreciate how she changes through the series, and how we get more and more glimpses into her past. The narrative is innovative and interesting. I am really looking forward to the next book, number 6, Blood Trade. Soon!
