About book Happy Pants Cafe (2014)

Really cute story, a little too silly but it was definitely a fun read for a short airplane ride. Harper & Austin were childhood friends & due to a misunderstanding & many years of separation they are reluctant to trust one another. They are both reporters & find themselves at Happy Pants Cafe, a cookie & coffee diner in the middle of Napa Valley rumored to connect lovers together & create marriages all over the world. The problem is that Harper & Austin could have worked through their differences & given in to their sexual attraction if they would have been left to their own devices. Unfortunately the fans of Happy Pants Cafe feel they need to keep Harper & Austin apart, make them jealous in order for them to fall head over heels in love. The best part is that Harper describes Austin in a way that he sounds just like Superman Henry Cavill, my dreamboat fantasy actor!! Cute, sweet, light-hearted love story. Austin and Harper share such a rich history together. It's filled with life and laughter, good times and bad times, and love. Adolescent love, but still love. That was then, and this is now.Austin's belief in love is still very real and very firm. Oh, it wavered a bit, more toward the end, but I won't hold that slip against him. After all, the love of his life just walked away, unwilling to see his point of view or listen. Harper doesn't believe in it anymore. The boy she loved broke her heart, and the man she thought meant something to her did the same. There were so many delightful things about this story. First, the characters. Primary and secondary, they were terrific. Next, the setting. Man, oh, man, was I thrilled to see the words "Bay Area" in this story! My home turf, places I knew were mentioned in this book, and mentioned well! Third, the dialogue, or rather Austin and Harper's internal dialogue! Their bickering was childish, but their thoughts were hilarious! I snorted and chuckled my way through a lot of their thoughts. It was fun watching Austin and Harper, mainly Harper, work through their stubbornness, jealousy, and frustration to finally see what others saw: they were perfect for each other, even if they argued a lot. And Ms. Luci's tale about how the cafe started was incredible to read. There was so much love behind her words, it was flightless wonder Harper nearly shed a tear or two.Ms. Pamfiloff, this is one hell of a story you've written. I loved and enjoyed every part of it, and can't wait to read other books in this series!***Received from Tasty Book Tours for an honest review***
