About book Happier At Home: How I Learned To Pay Attention, Cram My Day With What I Love, Hold More Tightly, Embrace Here, And Remember Now (2013)
I loved Gretchen Rubin's first book 'The Happiness Project'. 'Happier at Home', however, is too much like a rinse & repeat of the earlier book. I'd recommend it, but it didn't inspire me quite the way the previous book did, largely because it was simply going over old ground. It didn't feel new. I know I'm being super tough by giving it only 3 stars, but I just feel that it was too repetitive to deserve more.As for the author, I love her writing style (really, it's the main reason that I wanted to read this book at all) and will definitely be reading more of her work - I'm especially interested in her forthcoming book about habits. :) Meh, it was okay. It was a lot like her first book (which I LOVED and even did a year-long Happiness Project of my own) but this seems more of an extension or epilogue of book one than a sequel. None of the tips in this book seems revolutionary like in the first book and most are things I either already do or have no interest in trying. Her research findings and family anecdotes were still nice to read though, so I'm giving it 3 stars.

This book is too much like The Happiness Project. It does not really work for me.
