I recently read your Southern Witch series. I had picked up this book randomly from the library but boy was I glad I did. To be absolutely honest I didn't think the Would be Witch was as good as the 2nd & 3rd ones. But Would-be Witch kindled enough of my interest to pick up the 2nd one. Barely Bewitched had me hooked & with Halfway Hexed, I was totally Hexed :) in a good way.Normally I find most successful authors give a solid book in the beginning and the content kind of dilutes in the subsequent books (piggy backing on early success). But with this series I found myself appreciating the steady build up of the story, the thickening of the plot in the 2nd and 3rd books and bowing out with a very strong finish. Very few authors can master that momentum which Kimberly Frost has. Kudos to her.I applaud her valour and effort in creating this magical series. The characters in Duvall came alive dancing merrily and jumping out of the pages vividly. Only thing that I want answered is about the unfinished business between Zach and Tammy Jo.....I thought Tammy kept her promises???!!! I love Kimberly Frost's books. She combines the southern charm and supernatural sizzle of Charlaine Harris with the laugh out loud humor of Janet Evanovitch. I missed book number one, but have thoroughly enjoyed book number two, Barely Bewitched, and number three, Halfway Hexed. And you can't beat her covers. Gorgeous! If you are looking for something light and amusing that will keep you laughing and in suspense, try Kimberely Frost. And come back and let me know what you thought.
It was OK. Easy easy read, but I wouldn't put it in my candy book section.
