About book Gun Games: A Decker/Lazarus Novel (2012)
Another great read by one of my fave authors. This is #20 in the Rina Lazarus/Peter Decker series. Rina is an orthodox Jewish woman who met Peter Decker, an LAPD detective, when her house was robbed. Throughout the series they meet, date, fall in love, marry and commingle their families - his daughter, her two sons (she was a widow). In this book, it's about teenage suicide, teenage love and a pathological nutjob. There's more involved, I am making it short. It's an excellent, easy read and can stand on its own 565 large print pages! Lt. Decker gets the report of a probable suicide of a teen from a prestigious private school but didn't expect to have much to do until the gun used turned out to be stolen and then when another suicide from the same school happens shortly thereafter again with a stolen gun, they begin to suspect that they may not have been suicides after all. Meanwhile a 15 year old boy and skilled classical pianist that Decker and Rena are hosting falls for 14 year daughter of Persian Jewish family and they begin a secret affair. The young boy is hassledby a gang of students from the private school, but manages to get himself clear, but later has another run in with one of the girls in the gang and again gets clear, but when his girlfriend is abducted by the gang and he manages to get her free that Decker's case and the abduction join together. A good read, I like all the Kellerman books and this was no exception.

Sappy teen romance. Will we see Cindy again now that she's a mother?
