About book Green Eyed Envy (2011)

I understand the author leaking info to the reader before the heroine figures it out. This lets the reader feel smart. But this Chief investigator of the Magical Crimes Unit is too stupid to figure out what is repeatedly thrown in the reader's faces. It became tedius waiting for her to catch a clue. She is apparently not sharp and observant enough for her current career and should perhaps change to something more in line with her skill set such as exotic dancer. Even when the villain swung his hand toward her holding an unknown object but was interrupted she didn't investigate what the object and action signified. The story was pretty interesting if only the "heroine" could just catch a clue. I must say it is nice to be able to read something light and easy that doesn't suffer for being light and easy. The story itself has no big logical errors. Although the back and forth of suspects at the end is a bit trying, you believe all the steps along the way. And I can't tell you how nice it is to finally see two people who are supposed to be in a romantic relationship finally working together. So many books try to make drama in the relationship by setting them against each other from the beginning but not this one. In this book the main couple work together from the very beginning. Yeah, there are some secrets, but there entire lives aren't secret from each other. It's also nice to see the guy in a story being the one captured and used as bait. Not poor little woman in distress here. Overall a nice light read.

Do You like book Green Eyed Envy (2011)?

DNF. :/ I tried, but it just didn't stick to me. Or stick me to it. Either way. Pick one.
