About book Great By Choice: Uncertainty, Chaos, And Luck--Why Some Thrive Despite Them All (2011)
Jim Collins and crew effectively show success and greatness is more due to action and discipline than to luck and circumstances (the analysis on the effect of luck is interesting). I didn't find this book as engaging as Good to Great with regard to personal leadership but I did find it useful for informing how to spot opportunities and how to make the best pivotal decisions when leading an organization. This book is a supplement to Collins other works, Built to Last, Good to Great, and How the Mighty Fall. In this project, he and his co-author, Morton Hamilton, examine how companies fare and even thrive in industries that are rife with uncertainty, chaos, and wild changes. They then found the common characteristics of those companies that helped them exceed their industry average by more than 10X.I enjoyed hearing how companies took their futures into their own hands. I enjoyed hearing how they were able to weather the storms and how they were able to capitalize on the good times.If you like business-oriented books, this is a must-read.

At times a bit repetitive. Overall good, but the previous books by these authors were better.
