About book Good Girls Don't Date Rock Stars (2014)
I am liking Idaho, and I have never been there. Rock Canyon is once again the setting of a developing, well a re-developing love story. Gemma and Travis are quite different from the characters in the Rock Canyon #1 story. These two have a history, and secrets to work past if they are to stay together. Once again emotions muck things up. Darn emotions. If only. I am so ready to move on to book # 3, I do recommend Codi Gary's stories. I actually enjoyed this, even in spite of the h having a child and keeping it from our H. I normally hate that, but somehow the author made Gemma likable and you could somewhat understand it. However, I still really struggled with her continuing to keep Travis away from Charlie for NINE YEARS!!! It is hard for me to process anyone thinking it is their right to make that decision for someone else unless there had been an abusive situation. Her reasoning was selfish and extraordinarily childish and ultimately cruel to both Travis and Charlie. I would have preferred 1st person narrative, but this was a good 3rd person storytelling. I did think it was a bit drawn out, our main characters ran away from each other one time too many, IMO, but an enjoyable read overall.
