I loved the basic plot line of this story. It is a strongly Christian cozy mystery about a Bible college student who is interested in missions and is strongly pursuing a missionary ministry. I love that. It does have a few flaws. Jane is twenty years old and is given responsibilities far beyond her age, yet in a few ways she seems immature and the age of the protagonists seem to tip this for a younger reader. She doesn't really solve the mystery, but mainly stumbles on what happened. The biggest flaw was that the Bible college she attended was presented as being a poor quality education with students who wanted to flaunt the rules and an administrator who was uncaring. A professor who was meant to be a good guy in the book showed questionable integrity. In spite of that, I liked the book in many ways and may try another one because Traci Hilton dared to have strongly Christian characters who were ordinary people with a strong desire for ministry. I love the covers of these books too. Although I was not crazy about the main character getting kicked out of school, I did enjoy most of the plot. Jane is very independent, and that is both her strength and a weakness. Walking in on a dead body would certainly turn my world upside down. So why did Jane go to class so soon afterwards? No wonder Jane's life was so crazy; she never let herself rest! Isaac and Jake have a thing for her, yet her fellow students call her the Ice Queen. I liked her character development amidst all of the story conflicts.
