About book Gone Girl: By Gillian Flynn -- Review (2000)

Wow, great novel. Sociopaths do exist, and I have been (unfortunately) very close to two so far in my lifetime. The lengths that they will go to control others lives makes me sick. The puppets, that was so telling. Because everyone in their lives are just that. Wish these people had a big scar on their forehead, to warn people not to get close to them, because you will just be another person to manipulate. This was my first book by Gillian Flynn and it came highly recommended. I struggled with the first half. I actually read two other books then went back to it as I kept thinking I must be missing something. The second half was better and more exciting. I didn't feel anything for either character and it felt bland. I was glad when it ended. Why have I given it three stars? Any book which I am still thinking about three weeks later must be doing something right? It could be the ending that left me feeling this way though and the lack of closure. You just know the future is going to be horrific!

Great book, slow to start, but I couldn't put it down once I got past the first few chapters.

Great page turner with twists. Hoping there is a second book. Go team Nick-inside joke.

Great page turner! Suspenseful, gripping and so deliciously messed up.
