About book God's Gift To Women (2003)

OMG a one-night stand can lead to drama. In this book we thirty-nine year widower Julian Payne from Chicago who's getting ready to move to Houston with his ten-year old daughter Samantha where he's moving his late night radio show to.The night before he leaves he hits the town one last time with his friends when he meets Olivia Brown he figures if he has one night with her then everything will be okay WRONG!!!He moves to Houston and his show Love, Lust, and Lies its on the verge of going national when he meets Dr. Terri Ross who works inn the same building as him they hit a rough patch at first but thru cannot deny the growing attraction between them.Back in Chicago, Olivia is still fuming as to how she thinks Julian played her ask she decides to go to Houston and make his life a living hell by coming up with different excuses and names to cover her tracks.Men this just goes to show that you cannot play with women's emotions like that we have feelings too and some women are too emotionally scarred by the pain of either being raped or having a miscarriage really dnt heal properly.Michael Basiden did a good job with this book I highly recommend this book to everyone who's been in a situation like this before.

A smooth talker. An even better listener. And handsome as heaven on earth. He is God's Gift to Women. Julian Payne gets into bed with millions of women every night. As an after-hours radio talk-show host, Julian captivates his female audience with his deep voice and sensitive spirit. Women can't get enough: They call in, begging for his advice about love, lust, commitment, and betrayal. Julian provides his listeners with the blunt male perspective, and he always has the right thing to say. But when it comes to his own romantic life, or lack thereof, he's at a loss for words. A widower and father to ten-year-old Samantha, Julian wants nothing more than to settle down again with the right woman. Just when he thinks he's found her in Dr. Terri Ross -- smart, stunning, and with her own counseling practice -- Julian is confronted by a ghost from the past: Olivia Brown, a woman with whom he had a one-night stand. Suddenly Julian finds himself in a situation with a woman who's determined to win him over...or make his life a living hell. Michael Baisden's hottest offering yet, God's Gift to Women is a compelling tale about the consequences of sex with a stranger.

Do You like book God's Gift To Women (2003)?

An Okay ReadI read "GOD'S GIFT" and I must say I was unimpressed. I expected more development with certain characters and subplots. The fact that Julian encountered a woman who was mentally unstable was quite believable. What was however unbelievable was the fact that he took so much of her mess never seeking assistance from law enforcement. Overall the book was somewhat interesting yet predictable at times. In my opinion, this was not Michael Baisden's best work, but a decent read none-the-less. Bottom line, the message in this book is very clear. Be careful who you take home. When emotions begin to run high, it can be a recipe for disaster.

Michael Baisden has done it again with this page-turning novel. GOD'S GIFT TO WOMEN is the story of a man named Julian who makes the wrong move when he has a one night stand with a woman who is not at all what she seems. She is craaaazy, deraaanged (*sorry, Martin Lawrence reference*) Julian learns a hard lesson from that one night of passion, as well as suffering some serious consequences. This is a book that you will NOT want to end. Full of suspense, it's a guilty pleasure novel that will keep you up reading through the night.
—Stephanie

"GOD'S Gift to Women" is a classicly raw story of fatal attraction. Telling the story of radio host Julian Payne and how his life unfolds upon meeting Olivia Brown, Baisden combines poetry, the 'pull' of celebrity, the 'push' of it's 'privileges' , and a strong subject to convey a message particularly relevant in today's society. The introduction of unique characters and true to life experiences make this book stand out in Baisden's catalogue. Baisden has definitely gotten better with every single novel. After having read "Men Cry In The Dark", "The Maintanence Man Part I and II" , "Never Satisfied", and now, "God's Gift To Women", I'd gladly recommend his books to anyone.
