A very interesting book focused on a particular set of events in history. The book is easy to read and narrates the who story very well. Everything from the lead up, to the event and the climax are dealt with well along with the cast of characters.You'll enjoy this book if you enjoy racing or cars in general. You'll also enjoy this book if you are familiar with any of the major players as it provides an interesting insight into their personalities and their circumstances. The strongest component of this book is the focus on the people behind the story and the contribution that they played.Again, a very easy to read and enjoyable book that is recommended for all motoring enthusiasts. I've heard that Ronny Howard is making a movie of this book, and I can understand why. It's a fast-moving story about fast-moving machines and the very colorful people who race and build and own them, specifically the Formula One contest in the early 1960s between Ford and Ferrari . It's written by a guy (A.J. Baime) who knows his subject (auto racing) well enough that he can simplify it. He knows what to put in and what to leave out, without the technical mumbo-jumbo that drags down many books about cars. My wife is now reading this book and enjoying it too.
My only issue with this book is that it was too short. A fantastic read.
