Son of a... ANOTHER Christmas story? Another set of short stories? Blech.Okay, so not a fan of short stories. I've read one regular Lucy Stone book and didn't care for it. Only read Levine in the other collection of stories. Like the Hannah series well enough, but she bugs the crap out of me, but I've exhausted my current cozy mysteries and the library has these. So yeah.Gingerbread Cookie Murder - Typical Hannah Swensen. She says she's into both Mike and Norman, but it sure does seem like she hardly ever actually dates Mike. In this one, she's annoyed that the two get along so well and wonders why they don't fight over her more. And she's jealous of Norman's new partner. Really, Hannah? The Dangers of Gingerbread Cookies - I don't care for Jaine. At all. And what's with the hell-beast of a cat? Gingerbread Cookies and Gunshots - Likewise with Lucy Stone. She calls one of her daughters a selfish witch because she's trying to get ahead at her job by working on Christmas. Um, what? When the same daughter (at first) won't violate guest confidentiality, Lucy gets mad at her. What? This book was ok. A very easy read. I really like cozy mysteries...this was my second book in this series. I started reading the series because I saw them here on Goodreads and I was looking for some Christmas themed books. They are almost too easy of a read. The story is going along and then bam, she figures it out, confronts the killer, they confess and story over. I find myself waiting for a bit more of a bang at the end. Now the recipes, a cute idea...BUT...they take up 4 pages lol...way too many steps for cookies! The stories also seem to be quite short. Sometimes this is a good thing when you are looking for a quick easy read. All in all though, I dont mind these books and I will read the 2 others I have.
