About book Giada's Feel Good Food: My Healthy Recipes And Secrets (2013)
Originally posted on Sarahsbookshelf.com: I go back and forth about how I feel about Giada de Laurentiis. She’s beautiful and she’s a great chef, but I don’t love her books consistently. I find that many of her recipes to be unnecessarily complicated or require weird ingredients. My personal bias is also that if you are a good cook, I don’t need to see a picture of you looking fabulous on every other page. To me, that gets a little tiresome. The recipe should really speak for itself. I found maybe one recipe in this book that I liked, so I’ll skip it in the future. Her more traditional books are favorites of mine, so I’ll probably just stick with those in the future. Perhaps my favorite Giada book! She can really do no wrong in my world, but this book was especially amazing. I love the fact that this "cookbook" was much more than just a cookbook. There were travel tips (which I could SO use), yoga tips, and just a lot of other life and style bits that every woman should know. Oh yes, and I should also mention that the recipes were lovely too. I just love Giada! I would read it again, and I would recommend it.
