This is defintitely by far my favorite of the series. For me it done everything right from the beginning to the end, so that I sometimes could hardly put the book away, cos I really wanted to know what's going to happen next.I liked Shane and Hailey when I got to know them in the 1st book and was really excited when I found out that they would get their own book, as I hadn't no idea how those two would get together. But their story was full of tension right from the start and again the interactions between the characters were spot on. If I thought I really liked Rafe, oh hell, was I wrong. Shane Maxwell totally fit my pattern, always on a mood, quite a temper and comes with a big package. I probably could never handle such a guy in real life, but in books a girl can enjoy. But I have to admit that sometimes Haley and Shane could be very frustrating with their stubborness and unwillingness to do compromises, like Hailey admitting that sometimes she needs help and Shane admitting that she doesn't always need saving. I liked the fact, that it took so much effort to get both of them together and I also like the fact that even Shane was better in the end, he still wasn't right. The Plot was good too and even the were at more than a couple places throughout the story I never had the feeling the plot was rushed. It has the right pace, so you could enjoy a break, but never got bored. But I still don't really get why her mother did all the things she did, I always waited for a clear answer and the one that she just was a control freak didn't satisfiy me at all. I guess that made her doings even worse.I also liked the side story between Billy and Nicole. I actually wouldn't have mind to get their own book. I wanted to give this more stars but there was a lot of stupid stuff going on in this book. It was a bad way to end the trilogy, which was a really good series, especially the first book. Hailey and Shane got on my nerves for the better part of the book. They constant bickered and there was no real emotional connection. I only felt the sexual chemistry. I don't like that much conflict in my story. Oh, she gets her Aha moment when Lisa tells her what Shane had been through in his life. So now you want to love him? *sarcasm dripping here*The action didn't pick up right away and there was a lot of nothing really going on. Too many loopholes in the story. Then she threw in a side romance with Billy and Nicole, the Paris Hilton wannabe, who actually was suppose to be smart. WHATEVER!Then there was the whole thing with Shane not wanting to have kids and at the end there was a baby thrown in there and he was cool with it. Really? Sounds stupid to me!I liked the twist in the suspense but other than that, I felt cheated out with the last book in this trilogy.
